Annual accounts audit
The fieldwork, done.The opinion, yours.
Reconciliations, vouching, cutoff and payroll: the work that fills the weeks after year end. The Agent does it on the client's documents and fills in your working papers with every figure tied to its source. Your team spends its time on risk and judgment.
How an annual accounts audit moves. Phase by phase, with the Agent.
The phases are those of the International Standards on Auditing. What changes is who does the mechanical work in each.

01
Planning
Understanding the entity, setting materiality and assessing risk.
What the Agent does
Reads the prior year's accounts, the trial balance and the key contracts, and summarises the movements worth a look.
What you decide
You set materiality and the risks.
02
Cash
Bank balances reconciled and confirmed with each bank.
What the Agent does
Reconciles every statement against the ledger and matches the banks' replies with the book balances.
What you decide
You send the confirmations and decide on the open items.
03
Sales and purchases
Income and expenses with their support, their receipts and payments, and their cutoff.
What the Agent does
Matches each invoice in the sample with its entry and its receipt or payment, and reviews those around year end to test cutoff.
What you decide
You choose the sample and weigh the differences.
04
Payroll
Staff costs, social security and withholding.
What the Agent does
Reconciles payslips with social security and the withholding declared, person by person and month by month.
What you decide
You review the exceptions.
05
Completion and report
Subsequent events, the representation letter and the report with the opinion.
What the Agent does
Gathers the evidence in your working papers, every figure one click from its page, and drafts the completion memo.
What you decide
You form the opinion and sign the report.

Frequently asked questions about annual accounts audits.
Which part of the fieldwork does the Agent do?
The documentary, repetitive part: bank reconciliations, invoices matched with entries, receipts and payments, payroll reconciled with social security and withholding, cutoff testing and the preparation of the working papers. Every figure stays tied to its source page.
Does the Agent issue the opinion?
No. Materiality, the risk assessment, the conclusions and the opinion belong to the auditor, as the auditing standards require. The Agent hands you the evidence organised and traced so you can decide.
Does it work with our working papers?
Yes. The Agent fills in your own Excel workpapers, in their own sheets and columns, and every figure carries its source inside the cell.
What about confirmations?
You send them, as always. When the replies arrive, the Agent matches them with the book balances and leaves you each difference with its reason.
Where are my documents processed?
In the European Union. G2-F is hosted on AWS in Frankfurt (eu-central-1), processing stays in the EU, and your documents are never used to train or fine tune any model.
